Meta confirms launch of Threads creator bonus program

Meta’s Threads social network recently passed the 150 million monthly user mark, and the company isn’t slowing down its growth engine. To increase engagement, the social media giant is running a limited-time bonus program for Threads.

For the past few days, many account have I posted about this program. The company confirmed to TechCrunch a limited-time invite-only program for creators that it began testing in March. For now, the program is limited to creators in the United States, but if successful, the company said it could expand the program to other regions.

Meta added that content should not have a watermark from another platform such as TikTok or YouTube. Additionally, the content posted must not be about brand partnerships.

Creators can see their earnings in their professional dashboard and may be required to earn a minimum amount to receive payment.

The program could encourage Instagram users with many followers to post in threads, which could result in some of their followers being transplanted as well.
