The ‘era of soft boys’ says women pay for dates: ‘I shudder to think what it will be like for my daughters
Fox News’ Anita Vogel on the ‘era of soft boys,’ the latest trend on TikTok advising men to stop being soft guys sole suppliers in relationships alongside the co-hosts of ‘The Big Weekend Show’.

Lil Goodie is one of the self-proclaimed co-founders of the ‘soft guy era’ movement.
“Literally, being in my soft boy era, it literally opens my eyes to reality. Women want to have long-term relationships. So this is what you’re going to have to do. You’re going to have to pay for all the dates,” he said on a TikTok video.
“We all know that being a provider in 2024 is a scam. So we don’t care, we won’t do it anymore. We know that’s old fashioned, these women got money, these women are working, so they need to contribute,” Scarface marksaid the other co-founder of the movement.

“Here’s the thing. So I work full time, we all know that. The thing about being financially independent As a married woman, it is a beautiful thing. I don’t need my husband financially. My husband doesn’t need me financially,” said Fox News’ Nicole Saphier. “We’re together because we want to be together, and we work on our marriage because we really just want to be together and raise our kids together. That’s a beautiful thing.”

“You have to find balance in your life, and it works for some people, it doesn’t work for others. But this idea that you’re going to predetermine who pays for what before you go out, I don’t know,” Chaffetz added.
