Fast and Furious: Police share video of street race that ended in crash
Washington police say one person will be charged with reckless driving after traffic cameras across the city captured an illegal street race that led to a crash.
“Too fast. Too furious,” the Bellevue Police Department posted the 23-second video Tuesday afternoon. The suspect began the street racing incident around 1 a.m. April 26 on eastbound 112th Avenue at Northeast 8th Street until the collision, police said in an email.
The chained video consists of clips from what appear to be four separate traffic cameras. It shows two cars driving so fast through city streets that it is difficult to see their makes and models.
One of the viewpoints shows cars speeding through a yellow traffic light that quickly turns red.

One of the vehicles involved appears to be a lighter color and police have identified it as the suspect’s white Subaru WRX which he was driving at speeds of over 100 miles per hour.
The vehicle the Subaru was racing with at the time was not identified, but appeared to be a darker color. The streets where the two cars were driving illegally seemed wet from the rain at the time of the drivers’ high speeds.
