Tata Play will offer Amazon Prime Lite subscription bundled with DTH and new Binge plans

Tata Play (formerly known as Tata Sky) has partnered with Amazon Prime to bring its content to DTH and Binge subscribers. The company is now offering Amazon Prime Lite subscriptions along with existing DTH plans that also provide access to TV channels and new Binge packs where users can either choose all 33 OTT platforms or choose any six apps at a lower monthly subscription price. Tata Play users can also sign up for an annual Amazon Prime subscription through Tata Play DTH with a limited introductory offer.

Explaining the reason for the partnership, Harit Nagpal, MD & CEO, Tata Play said, “While on one hand, Tata Play’s robust content distribution network will help expand Amazon Prime’s reach to new audience segments, on the other hand, adding Prime Lite Membership with Tata “Play will make Binge a more compelling proposition.”

With the new offers, users can subscribe to DTH or Binge plans using Amazon Prime. Tata Play DTH subscribers can add Prime Video along with their choice of TV channels in multiple packages starting from Rs. 199 per month. Prime Lite subscribers with Tata Play Binge can now choose Prime Lite in two separate plans. They can access all 33 OTT platforms along with Prime Video at a price of Rs. 349 per month or you can subscribe to six OTT apps including Prime Video for Rs. 199 per month.

With an Amazon Prime Lite subscription, Tata Play users will be able to access the full selection of shows and movies on Prime Video, including original series like Panchayat, Mirzapur, The Family Man, Dhoota, Farzi and more. Viewers can watch content on any two screens. Additionally, subscribers will also get other Prime Lite benefits such as free unlimited same-day delivery on over one million products and next-day delivery on over four million products when shopping on Amazon. They will also get early access to sales, exclusive offers and five percent cashback when using Amazon Pay ICICI Bank Credit Card.

Interestingly, Tata Play Binge offers users the option to choose the OTT platform they prefer for the first time. The platform will allow users to choose six OTT platforms if they choose not to watch the rest and pay Rs. 199 per month. Users will be able to choose from more than 30 national, international and regional applications.
