Former 1017 Enchanting artist has passed away, says Gucci Mane

Rising rapper charming died, according to confirmation from her management and loved ones. Previously, the artist was signed to Gucci ManeLabel 1017. The Texas native was only 26 years old.

The Shade Room spoke directly with its team to confirm the news, which began circulating early Tuesday morning (June 11). Initial reports claimed that Witchcraft was on life support.

Her team has since told TSR that she passed away due to a reported overdose. At first she was in critical condition. However, details about where she died remain unclear.

A spokesman for her management team added that the 26-year-old had been suffering from withdrawal symptoms in recent days.

“She has been coming to my house for the last four days to clean herself up. She tried her best and I did everything I could to help her, she tried,” the rep said.

Supposed sister of the Charmer, KJ, also confirmed her demise on social media, including Facebook and X (formerly Twitter). She shared a selfie of her sister with the caption: “I love you girl [broken heart emoticon]”

iHeart reports that the rapper has been working in the music industry for the past eight years after releasing his debut mixtape “Love & Drugs.” Gucci Mane reportedly signed her to his 1017 label in 2020. was described then as a trap and blues performer.

In 2021, she released the hit song “Track & Field” featuring Kaliii.

Her latest project with 1017, titled “No Luv”, will be released in 2022. Her song “He Can’t Reach” was also featured on the soundtrack to Issa Rae’s Rap Sh!t Season 2.

On Tuesday, Gucci Mane spoke out on social media about Enchanting’s death. “So sad to say RIP to such a wonderful girl, a true star, we all miss you Chant.”

Gucci’s wife Keyshia Kaoire, also spoke about Chant. In addition to expressing her condolences, Keyshia asked fans to stop attacking her husband over the 26-year-old’s death.

“Damned Chant! This one shocked me! When I heard the news, I just knew you could make it! I’m really sorry! HOLIDAY IN HEAVEN! We love you @luvenchating” Keyshia wrote on Instagram Story.

Meanwhile, in the comments section on the same platform, she added:

“Leave my husband alone! He signs these artists to help them and give them a better life! I wish it weren’t like this! Sing, girl, we love you! RIH.”
