Police arrest man suspected of murder and sexual assault of Maryland woman Rachel Morin last year.
On June 15, the Harford County Sheriff’s Office announced that with the help of federal law enforcement Victor Martinez-Hernandez was taken into custody in Tulsa, Oklahoma. on suspicion of murder, as well as rape, in connection with the murder in 2023 of a 37-year-old woman, a mother of five children.
“At this time, we have learned that the suspect currently being shown is a 23-year-old El Salvadoran who illegally crossed into the United States in February 2023,” the sheriff said. Martinez-Hernandez was booked into the Tulsa County Jail just after midnight June 15 and is scheduled to be extradited to Maryland, Gahler said. The suspect was also detained by ICE pending possible transfer into the custody of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, according to legal filings obtained by E! News. He is being held without bail on a fugitive complaint. No lawyer was listed for him.
