Young Thug and YSL Trial Stayed As Judge Considers Dismissal

Thug’s motion comes about two weeks after Judge Glanville jailed one of Young Thug’s attorneys, Brian Steele. At the time, the judge held Steele in contempt of court after the attorney accused him of holding an “ex-parte meeting” without his presence. The arrest came after Brian refused to reveal his source.

Now the pause is due to Steele’s lawsuits over a meeting the judge allegedly excluded him from. As for the next steps, the judge is waiting for another judge to review the motion. It is unclear, according to WSB-TV, when that will happen or if another judge is already reviewing the motion.

Another setback recently occurred in the trial of a young bandit.

Judge YSL’s decision is another setback for Young Thug. Jury selection has already set a state record, taking 10 months complete. Opening statements began in November.

But progress is slow. Thug and several other defendants allegedly linked to YSL appear to be no closer to knowing whether they will go home free or end up behind prison walls this year.

Thugger, legal name Jeffrey Lamar Williams, is charged with conspiracy to violate RICO, as prosecutors allege YSL stands for the Young Slime Life street gang. In addition to the conspiracy charges, he faces drug and firearms charges, multiple employment charges, and participation in a criminal street gang, for Vulture.
