“We were dealing with our own issues, very quietly and internally, just our own issues,” he explained in the September 28 issue of The Agency. Red microphone podcast. “I mean, of course, we’re not separated. We’re not divorced at this point. We’re not anything like that. We’re still figuring out our marriage.”

The 53-year-old man said he was grateful that they had not had any problems in their marriage for nearly three decades.

“It’s been an amazing 26 years, and it’s been a tough year,” he said. “Kyle and I are blessed, we’ve had 26 years where we haven’t had one bad year, and I know most marriages have bad months, bad weeks, bad years.”

Mauricio then addressed rumors that he and Kyle faked their breakup to gain public attention.

“I’m not going to ruin my life to put rumors in the news to entertain people,” he said, stressing that he is “not that smart and cunning.”
