President Biden spoke at a black church on July 7 to drum up support as he faces increasing pressure to drop out of the presidential race.
The Associated Press Criticism of Joe is reported to be growing, but he has no plans to abandon his bid for the Democratic nomination.

Joe Biden speaks at Black church to rally support amid criticism of his resignation
Biden visited Mount Airy Church of God in Christ in northwest Philadelphia on Sunday to urge supporters to remain united as questions mount about whether he is fit to lead the country for a second term.
Speaking from the stage in the stained glass sanctuary, Joe joked: “I know I look 40,” But “I’ve been doing this for a long time.” President Biden reportedly added: “Frankly, I’ve never been more optimistic about the future of America if we stick together.”
Democrats Call on Joe Biden to Give Up Democratic Ticket for President
Several Democratic lawmakers are set to rally behind the incumbent president as he seeks reelection. His team expects more to turn against him in the coming days as Congress resumes work. As lawmakers gather, they will have a chance to discuss their concerns about Biden. Many have expressed fears that he may not survive another four months of campaigning, let alone four years in the White House. Moreover, they are unsure whether he can defeat former Republican President Donald Trump.
AP Alan Clendenin, a Tampa city councilman and member of the Democratic National Committee, said Sunday that he would like the president to “Leave him aside and let Vice President Kamala Harris advance her agenda as our Democratic nominee.”
Democrats Haven’t Completely Abandoned Biden
There are still Democrats backing the commander in chief, however. Barry Goodman, a Michigan attorney, said Sunday that he still supports Biden, but if the president resigns, he will support Kamala. “We have little time. “I don’t think the president will come out. But if he does, I think it will be Kamala,” Goodman said.
Mount Airy Pastor Louis Felton is fully supporting America’s current leader in his bid for a second term. “Never write off Joseph” he counseled his flock. He compared the president to Joseph, who had a “coat of many colors” in the Bible. In that story, a man was sold into slavery in Egypt by his jealous brothers, but he eventually gained a high position in the Pharaoh’s kingdom. His brothers later begged him for help, without initially recognizing him.
“This is what’s happening, Mr. President. People are jealous of you.” said the pastor. “Jealous of your clinging, jealous of your favor. Jealous of the hand of God on your life.”
He told the church members: “Let him know that we are with him!”
