Since her release in December, Gypsy has been vocal about her grief over her mother’s death.
“Nobody can tell me anything about myself that I don’t already know,” Gypsy said in a video dedicated to her mother on Mother’s Day earlier this year. “Do I have any regrets? Oh, yeah. I have a lot.”
The Louisiana native is also trying to smooth over her complicated feelings about her late mother.
“I don’t think about her in terms of what she did to me,” Gypsy said. “But I think about her as a person. And I think, was she a good mom? No. Was she the best mom in the world? No. But she was still my mom. So what I choose to feel about her — whether it’s guilt, anger, grief, hurt, whatever — that’s my business. No one can take away my own feelings about my own mother.”
