For Megan Goodher latest film was particularly personal.
After all, when the 42-year-old actress played Ava in Divorce in black—a character whose marriage is falling apart while her relationship with her now ex-husband DeVon Franklin came to an end after almost 10 years of marriage.
It’s one of the ways she was able to relate to her character’s journey.
“I’ve learned most of the way that when it feels like life is ending, sometimes it’s really just beginning,” she told E! News. Francesca Amiker on the lessons she learned while filming the movie. “And even in what seems like one of the worst moments in life, there is a blessing.”
She continued: “And then trusting that process and your perception and your attitude and how you approach it and your mentality. And that’s what I think I could understand the most.”
In late December 2021, Megan and Devon first announced their separation.
