Chris Brown poses for rare photo with his father Clinton
On Wednesday, July 10, Hawkins posted a photo of her son on Instagram. However, instead of the singer posing alone, Brown was joined by his father.
In the film, the couple smiled happily as they posed with their arms around each other. The couple also wore similar outfits – both in blue T-shirts and shorts, as well as Nike sneakers.

Here’s What We Know About Chris Brown’s Father
In accordance with PEOPLEClinton Brown and Joyce Hawkins divorced when Chris was seven. By then, the couple had two children – Chris and his older sister, known to everyone as “Tootie.”
Clinton reportedly worked as a corrections officer in Virginia. Additionally, Chris’ father worked at the gas station where Brown was eventually found.
After his parents’ divorce, Hawkins reportedly remarried. Chris later went public with his stepfather’s alleged abuse of his mother.
“He beat my mom,” Chris reportedly said in 2007. Today“He scared me all the time… I cried and thought, ‘One day I’m going to go crazy over him.’ I hate him to this day.”
After Chris found himself in similar circumstances after Rihanna’s 2009 attackClinton remained in his corner.

That same year, Clinton told the publication that he “couldn’t be more proud” of his son.
“He is the light of my life,” he reportedly added.

“Young SNIPER – me and my father. My dark-skinned TWIN,” he allegedly wrote at the time.
