DDG responds to backlash over giving son 6-month waiting list

DDG here not to get backlash for handling his fatherly duties! As previously reported, this YouTuber’s video recently went viral after he documented his son’s first lineup. Halowith whom he shares Halle Baileyonly about six months.

In the video, DDG can be seen holding the baby’s head with both hands to keep him still while the barber begins the haircut. As soon as the clippers touched Halo’s head, he started screaming. After being given a bottle, the baby remained still throughout the haircut, and his dad couldn’t be more proud!

Meanwhile, as expected, social media users were NAWT, with plenty of criticism of his parenting taking over Instagram, X, and Facebook. Now, DDG is making it clear that Papa D is focused on his baby, and others should follow suit. The baby could be heard in the background of D’s claps.

“People have a lot to say because I put my son on the waiting list at six months. Look, y’all, worry about your own kids,” Darryl said. “He came out of my balls. Not yours. Worry about your own kid. Worry about your dad. Why couldn’t your dad afford a haircut? Let me be a happy dad.”

He went on to seem to suggest that black people are the main demographic opposing him. The YouTuber added that black people are “so used to black men being absent fathers” that the sight of a “present father” inspires “bad” comments.

“Why do you always say something negative about your race? Instead, you should just say the lining is crispy, because I know it is,” he said, continuing to show Halo in his stroller.

The internet celebrity also teased his viewers by teaching Halo how to “drive.”

However, Haley’s mother has yet to comment on the debate over the lineup or her position on Darryl’s decision.

The couple stunned the internet when they revealed Halo’s face for the first time over the weekend after months of hiding it behind emojis and certain poses for the camera. Photos are shown Bailey and her son’s father wore sparkling white and silver outfits, while their little one dazzled in a white Dolce & Gabbana number.

Since then, DDG has shared more moments with his only child, including hilarious mirror selfie moments.

Although Holly doesn’t post him on her Instagram feed as often anymore, the mom is no stranger to publicly expressing her love for her son. Earlier this year, she released the track “In Your Hands,” featuring Halo in the final shot of the official music video.
