Less than four years after their marital bliss, the couple plunged headlong into the great cause of raising children, welcoming their eldest daughter. Hazel in February 2014 and her younger sister Violet Twenty-eight months later, they settled into a townhouse in Brooklyn, about 3,000 miles from Hollywood, where they believed they had the best chance of some semblance of normality.
Of course, even primary school children know what a movie star is. And so, despite all her efforts, Hazel returned home from school, Blunt recalled in an interview Sunday Times“and she asks, ‘Are you a celebrity?’
It was a first for Blunt, and she and Krasinski made a conscious choice not to use the f-word. “Someone at school obviously said it,” she continued. “I was like, ‘Um… not really, I don’t think I am. Did someone say that to you, Hayes?’ She was like, ‘Yeah,’ but then she wouldn’t divulge more, you know, but it’s weird. It’s weird.”
She’s not so much concerned about her position in the industry as she is: “I don’t want my kids to feel more important or special or looked at more than other kids,” she explained. “If they can stay inattentive for as long as possible, I’ll be thrilled. They don’t even want to see what I’m doing.”
